Spontaneous scrap page!

On my days off, I went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I originally was looking for a Jo-Ann's Fabric, but got never found it. I got lost and my phone was dead, so I could not look it up. I ended driving to Hobby Lobby instead hoping I would find some good stuff and I did. Between Michael's yesterday and Hobby Lobby today.. well, I bought some new stuff, ya'll! Tonight I made a page with some of it the new papers I got:

 This is a picture of my friend Kat on her wedding day posing with my parents. We have known each other since college and are still friends to this day. I lived at home in college, so my parents got to know Kat well. The journaling talks a little about my parents watching Kat and I "grow up" (;

I did a close up on the details on the second picture. I like the mini collage I did with the elephants.

The products I used were Recollections: Rooster Provincial paper (Michael's), My  Mind's Eye: The Station paper, MME: Follow your heart brads and happy day tag, Amy Tangerine: Hello letters, Amy Tangerine brad (I think from the Daybook collection),  a dollie sprayed with Mister Huey: Pumpkin Spice, Tim Holtz tape, the elephants are a Martha Stewart punch, the fabric tape is from Freckled Fawn, the journaling tag is from K&Co.:Classic K Bailey tag pad.

Gap Year

I think travel is important. It opens your eyes and humbles you in many ways. It shows you how small you really are, but also how we are all inter-connected. It opens your mind and broadens your horizons. In Europe, they have the concept of the gap year. You travel after you finish college/high school for a year before you start working. I like it! I think students in the United States could benefit from this. You don't always know what you want to do at 18 or even what career you want to do even after you finish college. Why not travel and learn about your world?

Scrap page dump

So I have been doing scrapping, but not uploading. That is about to change. View the pretties below:

This is a picture that I took at Madeline's birthday party. She and her mama have since moved. Little Madeline is growing up fast. Little ones can't be young forever. Tear.

 This is Kat and Marty on their wedding day dancing the day away. I like the look on Marty's face in this picture. He is totally in LOOOOVE. (;

This is Sam and I at the drawing booth at Chuck E Cheese. Several of our friends with children choose Chuck Cheese as the birthday party spot, so we get to go quite often.

The is Neal and Malaney on their wedding day. I love the balcony picture and you can even see their photographer in the background.
